Windows OS: Setup FortiClient on Windows for SSL VPN

Pre-requisite:

If FortiClient is already installed on your Mac, uninstall it before proceeding with the new version (7.4). Start from Step 1.

If you don't have FortiClient installed already, then start with Step 3.

Uninstall Existing FortiClient (If Installed)

1. Remove Old FortiClient:

  • Go to Start Menu > Settings > Apps.

  • Find FortiClient, click it, and select Uninstall.

  • Follow the on-screen steps to complete uninstallation.

2. Restart Your Computer:

  • Click Start Menu > Power > Restart.


Install & Set Up FortiClient VPN 7.4

3. Install FortiClient VPN 7.4:

  • Open Company Portal or your IT-provided software catalog.

  • Search for FortiClient VPN 7.4.

  • Click Install and wait for it to complete.

If you don’t see it listed, please find the attached installation file or contact the IT team

4. Configure the VPN:

  • Open FortiClient VPN from the Start Menu.

  • Click Configure VPN (gear icon).

  • Fill in the details:

    • Connection Name: Servify-Mumbai

    • Remote Gateway: mumfgt.servify.in

    • Port: 10443

  • Check these boxes:
    ✅ SSL-VPN
    ✅ Customize Port (10443)
    ✅ Enable SSO
    ✅ Use external browser for login

  • Click Save.

5. Connect to VPN:

  • Select Servify-Mumbai profile.

  • Click Connect.

  • A browser window will open—log in using your Servify Google Workspace account.
